The holiday season is hitting strong here in Southern California, and if you’re anything like me, you’re already knee-deep in twinkly lights, hot chocolate, and the annual tradition of wondering where the heck December went. Every year, this season brings something special, but this year I wanted to do something a little extra festive… and maybe spread a tiny bit of glitter around (sorry in advance).

So, I’m officially kicking off 25 Days of Christmas on my Instagram - @DevelopmentsOfLifePhotography ! For the next 25 days, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite holiday moments from holiday photo sessions I’ve photographed over the years throughout California and Las Vegas— sweet families, excited kiddos, proud parents, snuggly couples, and the occasional camera-ready dog who absolutely stole the show. Each day will feature a new photo, a dash of humor, and a whole lot of love.

This time of year always reminds me how lucky I am. For 18 years now, I’ve had the privilege of capturing your holiday memories in Southern California— the joy, the sweetness, the chaos, the “just smile for one second” moments, and everything in between. I’ve watched families grow, kids get taller, parents get funnier (or more tired… sometimes both), and traditions deepen. It’s honestly the most heart-filling part of what I do.

And yes, I’ll absolutely sprinkle in some sass, because what is Christmas without a little extra sparkle and a few laughs? But beneath all the joking and jingling is something true: I feel incredibly blessed to be invited into your lives year after year.

Whether you’ve been in front of my camera once or twenty times, whether your kids posed like angels or ran in three different directions, whether your dog cooperated or… did not — thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your memories. Thank you for sharing your families with me. Thank you for making my holiday season brighter every single year.
