Jera's Kids: Children's Photography in Temecula California

Updated: Oct 21, 2019

There are a lot of things about photography that bring me joy, but if I had to choose just one, it would be the ability it gives me to share in the lives of families within my community. The gift of repeat clients not only confirms a belief in my talents, it allows me to form relationships, to watch romances bloom, families grow, children blossom into their own unique people. Over the next few blogs, I am going to highlight some of my clients, families - some of who I knew previously and some I met just through photography - that have welcomed me into their fold and allowed me to turn moments into memories.

I first met Jera and her special kiddos in the Spring of 2015. She found me through an ad on Facebook and took advantage of my Spring Mini-Session special. Shortly before this, Jera had begun fostering Sean and Hannah, a pair of twins who were around 18 months old. She had recently adopted sweet Miss Annie, and wanted pictures of the 3 littles with her daughter Sarah and Sarah's two kids, Kaylee and Cort. This first session was a bit of a challenge, as both Sean and Hanna were not really into the whole picture taking thing. We got a few special shots though, and the kiddos had a lot of fun.

A few months later I was contacted by Jera again, and invited to attend Sean and Hannah's 2nd birthday party. Her and Sarah put so much work into it - they had an incredible Mickey and Minnie theme and rented out "Imagine Me Grow" for the afternoon. I had such a fun time watching the kids run around and play with their friends, and of course, love on their mom.

At Christmas time, I heard from Jera again, and was so excited. Things were going well with the kids, and I couldn't wait to see how much they had grown since July. They were as playful as ever, and way more talkative.

The following Spring, Sean and Hannah's adoption was finalized. I was honored to help celebrate the momentous occasion and take some photos to commemorate the event.

Since the adoption, we have continued to gather each year during the holiday season.

The efforts that Jera goes to in order to make her kiddos happy is something that I feel so blessed to be a part of. I look forward to many more years of celebrations and being able to capture these special moments to create lasting memories.
